| The CIR, Computerized Infrared Remote, is a very simple device for recording and playing back streams of infrared data, in particuliar the codes transmitted via remote controls. It consists of two sections: a receiver to capture an incoming IR data stream, and one or more transmitters to resend the data stream under computer control.Software is supplied to be run in both DOS and Windows, with information on interfacing the CIR into your own C and Visual Basic applications. This project requires some soldering and electrical debugging skills, so if you're not sure which end of a soldering iron to hold, please have someone help you out.
